Your Family - Cash Machines
We all appreciate the convenient cash machine as a source of money, but unfortunately some thieves think the same way.
To avoid losing your money at a cash point, the following precautions are recommended.
It may seem like common sense, but never write down your PIN, and if you are distracted at the cash point, cancel the transaction and leave - someone may have seen your PIN or be trying to create an opportunity to try to steal your money.
Check the machine to see if there is anything stuck to it or if anything else looks out of place. If there is something odd, do not use the machine. Instead, report it to the bank or police immediately.
Do not let anyone see you input your personal identification number (PIN). Also if your card is not returned by the cash machine, report it to your card issuer immediately.
Perhaps the most important security measure to regard is the protection of your PIN and banks suggest the following ways of keeping it safe; do not allow anyone else to use your card, PIN or other security information; always learn your PIN and other security information and destroy the notification as soon as you receive it; and never write down and keep a record of your PIN or other security information.
